Laughter
that untainted and carefree air
that only little children wear.
Joy
and happiness it signifies
forgotten
on the journey to adulthood;
when
re discovered, but a poor imitation,
tinged
with worries and a hint of sorrow
struggling
to free itself of Self,
confirming laughter an exclusive gift
conferred by God on kids.
